LOOK at it. Isn’t it gorgeous? Joel Tippie at HarperCollins is the creative force behind this cover, and he is so talented and always works so hard to get everything just right. (Also a shout out to Amy Ryan and Barb Fitzsimmons, also at Harper— you guys are awesome!) I have been so fortunate to get three covers that I love. I couldn’t be happier with this one and I can’t wait to see all three books lined up on my shelf!
A short note about that symbol: no, it is not a faction symbol. It is, however, a symbol that appears in the book. I can’t really share more than that— you’ll have to read it for yourself! (I can’t wait for that either!)

“Tris” Prior, tells EW that the younger members of the Neil Burger-directed movie — which includes Ashley Judd, Kate Winslet, Theo James and Zoë Kravitz — have already clicked. “It’s a good group,” she says. “We’re hanging out on weekends, celebrating birthdays. Everyone just wants to get to know one another. It’s rare to get a big group together and not have any conflicts. It’s really kind of amazing.”
Divergent takes place in a dystopian future where society is divided up into five factions. In this exclusive photograph, Tris is taking the place of a fellow Dauntless initiate, and must stand still while knives are thrown at her head. “It’s about being selfless and standing up for what’s right,” Woodley says.
But don’t worry about those knives: “They’re just rubber,” she says.

The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Tony Goldwyn from Scandal has joined the Divergent Cast and will be playing Tris's Dad, Andrew Prior.

Scandal star Tony Goldwyn has joined the cast of Divergent. Goldwyn will play Andrew Prior, Tris' father in Summit's big-screen adaptation ofVeronica Roth's best-selling young adult novel.

Ashely Judd has joined the Divergent cast! She will be playing Tris and Caleb's mother, Natalie Prior.

Ashley Judd is an American television and film actress and political activist. Judd grew up in a family of successful performing artists as the daughter of country music singer Naomi Judd and the half-sister of Wynonna Judd.
