Shailene Woodley Teases Ansel Elgort About 'Divergent' to 'TFiOS' Relationship

Last week, we got the news that Ansel Elgort -who plays Tris's brother, Caleb- was cast as August Waters from The Fault in Our Stars
Entertainment Weekly talks to Shailene Woodley about how she feels about Ansel changing from a brother in Divergent to her "lover" in The Fault in Our Stars.
“I keep joking with Ansel about it,” Shailene tells EW with a laugh. “I’m like, ‘In a few months, buddy, you’re going to be my lover.’”
But all joking aside, Woodley seems thrilled with her future onscreen romantic pairing. “Ansel is so good. I’m so excited. He blew it out of the water,” she says of the time they read the parts of Gus and Hazel together. “And he’s a real sweetheart. I’m so excited to have him in my life.”

Ansel Elgort Cast as Augustus Waters From 'The Fault in Our Stars'

Ansel Elgort will now be in two major YA book-to-movie adaptations. First -as you may already know-, he's playing our Caleb Prior (Tris's brother). Secondly, he will be playing August Waters from John Green's The Fault in Our Stars.

Entertainment Weekly tells us
“Ansel is whip-smart and uber-charismatic and everything I dreamed for Augustus Waters,” John Green tells EW in an exclusive statement. “I am by nature a cautious pessimist, but I’ll just say it: Now that we have Shailene and Ansel, I am completely, unreservedly psyched about this movie.”
Director Josh Boone tells EW: “Ansel Elgort is the epitome of the boy John Green brought to life so vividly in his novel and he truly embodies the character traits we admire so much about Gus. His humor, sensitivity, honesty and confidence floored us. Watching him with Shailene was like seeing the film for the first time. Hearing then say okay to each other was incredibly moving. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have found our Gus.”
Now, we have two Divergent cast members joining The Fault in Our Stars; Ansel Elgort and the second cast member being Shailene Woodley.

Veronica Roth Talks With Teen.com About the Divergent Cast

Teen.com chats with Veronica Roth. They talk about the age difference of the actors to the characters and how amazing it is that we have Kate Winslet as Jeanine.
Shailene Woodley and Theo James
One topic of discussion during our chat was the age gap between lead actors Shailene Woodley (Tris) and Theo James (Four). In the book, these characters are 16 and 18 respectively, but the actors playing them are a bit older at 21 and 28. When asked about the age subject, Veronica assured that fans wouldn’t be disappointed, saying:
“I think that head shots look a lot older than actual people. When I’m meeting them in real life I’m like ‘Oh yeah this is not a problem.’ Seeing them all together, they definitely look younger than you think. I was most concerned about the age gap looking okay. Obviously Shailene is [six years] younger than Theo. It doesn’t really look that way because I think when you cast an actual 16 year old and actual 18 year old they look the same age, especially if the 18 year old is a boy because they don’t age. So that would actually look kind of creepy. So I’m happy with the maturity of the actors I think that was crucial to making this movie work and by casting older actors we definitely have gotten that maturity which is amazing. I think that gap looks great in real life.”
Veronica also sang Theo’s praises in another way, mentioning that he was the one actor who matched her vision of the book character the closest.

Ta da! Veronica Roth Talks About the 'Allegiant' Cover

The final book in the Divergent series will be available October, 22, 2013, pre-order your copy on Amazon.com.

Veronica Roth tells us
LOOK at it. Isn’t it gorgeous? Joel Tippie at HarperCollins is the creative force behind this cover, and he is so talented and always works so hard to get everything just right. (Also a shout out to Amy Ryan and Barb Fitzsimmons, also at Harper— you guys are awesome!) I have been so fortunate to get three covers that I love. I couldn’t be happier with this one and I can’t wait to see all three books lined up on my shelf!
A short note about that symbol: no, it is not a faction symbol. It is, however, a symbol that appears in the book. I can’t really share more than that— you’ll have to read it for yourself! (I can’t wait for that either!)

First Look: Shaliene Woodley as Tris, The Knife Throwing Scene

“Tris” Prior, tells EW that the younger members of the Neil Burger-directed movie — which includes Ashley Judd, Kate Winslet, Theo James and Zoë Kravitz — have already clicked. “It’s a good group,” she says. “We’re hanging out on weekends, celebrating birthdays. Everyone just wants to get to know one another. It’s rare to get a big group together and not have any conflicts. It’s really kind of amazing.”
Divergent takes place in a dystopian future where society is divided up into five factions. In this exclusive photograph, Tris is taking the place of a fellow Dauntless initiate, and must stand still while knives are thrown at her head. “It’s about being selfless and standing up for what’s right,” Woodley says.
But don’t worry about those knives: “They’re just rubber,” she says.
What do you think of this new still? This is such an amazing scene! Loving how the movie looks already!
Also, if you look really closely, you can see part of her tattoo.

Shailene Woodley casted as Hazel Grace

Shailene Woodley has been officially casted as Hazel Grace Lancaster from the best selling The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
The producer, Wyck Godfrey, tells Entertainment Weekly
When choosing the writers, director and now our first actor for Fault we’ve gone with the people that have had the strongest, most emotional and insightful connection to the material. Shailene’s love of the book and dedication to the character was evident in not only her pursuit of the role but her delivery of the essence of Hazel in her audition. I have no doubt that she will deliver a Hazel that will floor both fans of the book and those who have yet to be introduced to the transcendent story of The Fault in Our Stars.
John Green is loving the idea of Shailene Woodley portraying his character, Hazel.
I am absolutely thrilled that Shailene will be playing Hazel in The Fault in Our Stars. It means a lot to me that she is a fan of the book, and I know from our conversations that she has a profound understanding of Hazel. Watching her audition, I felt like Hazel Grace Lancaster was talking to me. It was eerie–and very exciting.
